Vinification

Located at the junction between the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne, Tours-sur-Marne benefits from a clay-limestone soil with a strong presence of chalk, giving the wines both structure, generosity, and finesse. Coming from a small vineyard, the Champagnes of Tours-sur-Marne are rare and often overshadowed by their neighbor Bouzy, with whom they share the same hillside.

Tasting

The colour is an intense golden hue with amber highlights, crossed by fine bubbles forming a persistent cord.

The nose is rich and expressive, it reveals aromas of ripe fruits (juicy pear, mirabelle plum, morello cherry), accompanied by pastry notes of brioche, fresh butter, and praline. As it aerates, spicier and slightly roasted touches emerge, with a hint of cocoa and white pepper.

On the palate, the texture is velvety and enveloping. The character of Pinot Noir expresses itself with power yet without heaviness, balanced by a lovely freshness that structures the whole. Crisp red fruits blend with toasted and subtly oaked notes, adding further complexity. The finish is persistent, with remarkable length on notes of dried fruits and delicate spices.
